From Habla Ya's Blog: Why should Habla Ya have a Blog? This is a question that I have been asking myself a lot rather lately and although I think I still do not have the "correct" answer I do feel I'm getting there. At Habla Ya we want to offer the best Spanish learning EXPERIENCE and with EXPERIENCE we mean lots of things. With a Blog we'll be able to share with people from all over the world the EXPERIENCE that our students are currently LIVING at our Spanish school in Bocas del Toro, Panama. Tranquilo Bay Blog

Renée Kimball and Jay Viola have been close friends for many years. We wanted to do something off the beaten path. Working in Houston, Texas for over 10 years gave us time to research different parts of the world and fall in love with Panama. Jim and Jay came to Panama in 1999 and 2000 respectively to build Tranquilo Bay. They have overseen the physical development of the resort every step of the way. Renée supported the cause from Houston working on the soft side of the resort's development. Jim brought Renée and son Tres to Bocas full time in September 2004. The Kimball's daughter Boty was born in Panama in 2006. The Kimballs live on site at Tranquilo Bay. Jim and Renée both work on the lodge's operations. Jay's wife Stefanie and son Scott joined Jay and the rest of the crew in Bocas in September 2006. Jay and Stefanie had a second son, Patrick here in Panama. Jay lives on site at Tranquilo Bay working on the lodge's operations. We have a variety of staff members to meet your needs at Tranquilo Bay. Our full-time biologists provide you with lots of information about the wildlife found within Bocas del Toro. We also have our resident Labrador retriever, Fula, who does what she can to improve your stay with us. Jim, Renée, and Stefanie are University of Texas Alumni. Jay is a Texas A&M Alumnus.

Popa Paradise Blog

Popa Paradise is unique amongst Panama hotels because of its location in the outer archipelago, making it one of the most remote of the Bocas del Toro hotels. Popa Paradise is located on the northeastern tip of Isla Popa in the archipelago. Our exquisite location, fronted by two white sand beaches and aqua marine waters is backed by a lush, tropical rainforest. Popa offers various styles of accommodations. In this unique setting you can experience the immense beauty of the Caribbean coast of Panama.
Our accommodations range from ten individual rustic casitas with satellite television, air conditioning and private balconies to a group of five attached lodge rooms, with simple decorations, private bathrooms and A/C, perfect for small groups or moderate budget travelers. For the high-end traveler, we offer a two-bedroom, two-bathroom Master Suite, with a full-service kitchen, wrap-around balcony, living-room and dining area.
