At Habla Ya Spanish Language Schools we have 6 different levels, from absolute beginners to very advanced. Our levels are based on students' linguistic skills & abilities. This means your Spanish level is rated according to how you're able to communicate in the language, opposed to what you could know about it. Language, more than being a knowledge you can learn, is a skill you acquire.
The levels that you'll encounter take into account specific communicative skills: oral expression, listening comprehension, reading and writing skills, etc.
• Survival I, (A1, Elementary)
• Survival II (A2, Beginner)
• Conversational I (B1, Intermediate)
• Conversational II (B2, Advanced)
• Fluency I (C1, Proficient)
• Fluency II (C2, Superior)
Our level system and syllabus are built under the guidelines of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages which provides reliable and objective assessment of linguistic ability.
Most of our Spanish levels take an average of 60 hours to complete. Dedication, hard work, an immersion program, natural skill for language acquisition and practice can also advance you faster through each of our levels.
Besides completing our Placement Test, you'll sustain an oral interview with our Academic Director in order to assess your communication skills and ensure you're placed to begin within the appropriate level.
