Although I enjoy the hustle-bustle of big cities, I always seem to scope out areas near parks to get my fill of nature and community. Thankfully our Panama City School is located within 20 minutes walking distance to two lovely parks (and you pass all three of our Budget Hotel Options on the way!).

Here’s a handy Google map of the route:

Let me show you how to get there! First let’s go to Parque Benito Juárez, which is just 5 minutes from the Habla Ya Panama City School.

Le Blue Building, where Habla Ya Spanish School Panama City is.

Leaving from our school at the Le Blue building, turn left and you will pass by the Panama House B&B on your right.

At the first street (Ave. Belisario Porras), turn left.

When the road dead ends, you will see a pedestrian walkway right in the center ahead of you. Follow that directly to the park.

And if you look to your left before entering the walkway, you will see the Baru Lodge!

At the end of the walkway, you will see the Benito Juárez Park across the street to the left.

There is another nice park called Parque Andrés Bello about 15 minutes from here. Let’s go!

At the corner of the park where there is the wooden Parque Benito Juárez sign, continue southwest on Calle Angel Rubio (there is an apartment building on the corner and some shops on the opposite corner. Continue up this street and head to the main street, Ave. Ramón Arias).

Turn right onto Ave. Ramón Arias and cross the street (be careful of oncoming traffic!).

In about 500 feet (150 meters), before you reach Via Grecia, you will see a pedestrian walkway on the left.

A little over one block down on your right will be the Parque Andrés Bello entrance!

This park has lots of seating areas, a basketball court, tennis court, skate ramp, exercise equipment, young children area (fenced in), older children jungle gyms, a wide open areas for playing games or with your dog.
