In Boquete we're lucky to have so many excellent mid-range hotel options. If you are looking for a comfortable stay, in natural settings, with staff who will go above and beyond to make your trip a truly memorable one, look no further than these four hotels below.
At Habla Ya we've done the research for you to make sure that your accommodation is pure quality. We know the owners personally and can attest that their hotel is held to high standards. Nice accommodation during your Spanish learning vacation is essential. It allows you to be at ease, relax, focus on the language and truly enjoy your experience. We want you to feel cozy, secure and right at home from day one!
We will also make the reservation for you at no extra cost. In fact, since stays for language studies normally start at 2 weeks (the average is 3 but many students stay for as long as 12 weeks or more depending on how much progress they want to make) you will get a BIG discount off their normal rates (the only exception might be during certain peak holidays where students weekly rates don't apply at certain places because they will always be full no matter what).
ISLA VERDE
Isla Verde is a unique hotel in Boquete because it has specially designed cabañas called “roundhouses” (because of their shape). The owner is German and this definitely reflects in the clean, spotless cabañas and grounds area. We've been working with them for over 8 years now and they are definitely the most popular option amongst our students with a mid-range budget.
A large roundhouse at Isla Verde has everything you need and plenty of space too!
You'll have your own little "house" or studio completely furnished, immersed in a well maintained tropical garden surrounded by a relaxing stream... and even though it's only a 5 minute walk from the school you will instantly feel that you are completely out of town!
Lower Suite - perfect for one person (or two in separate single beds), right by the river with it's own private terrace.
It is a particular favorite for families, as their large roundhouses provide the perfect space and comfort for up to 5 persons (and the smaller ones and studios are perfect for couples).
Besides the roundhouses, their suites are great for students who stay long-term since they include a full kitchen and furnishings. There are different sizes depending on the number of guests and your needs. All suite and cabañas also have wifi and cable television.
An upper suite at Isla Verde will leave you wanting to make it your own permanent home!
Isla Verde offers more than just accommodation. There is also a fantastic spa which offers everything from deep tissue massages to facials. This spa is rated #1 on Trip Advisor! You can check out Isla Verde's profile on our website and their discounted rates here and also you can go directly to there website here...
They also added a really wonderful restaurant in 2013 called Mango, which serves wood oven baked pizzas and international gourmet dishes. They strive to use organic ingredients in all of their dishes (when available).
The Mango Restaurant is set in the middle of the tropical garden
Just recently, a therapy room was added, which will be used for medical therapies, yoga and relaxation techniques.
The therapy room at Isla Verde is the perfect spot for your treatments
BOQUETE GARDEN INN
If you prefer to stay a little outside of the hussle and bussle of the downtown area, we highly suggest the romantic Boquete Garden Inn. This idyllic small boutique hotel was given new life 6 years ago by the current Canadian/British owners. They are on-site almost everyday, so you will have the pleasure of meeting them and conversing with them and other guests during the evening social hour.

There are 5 cabins, each with one suite on the top and one on the bottom. The suites range in size and furnishings, but they are all delightfully warm, cozy, and well-designed. All include a kitchenette (some a full kitchen), living space, cable television with flat-screen TV, and wifi.

One of the most special things about the Boquete Garden Inn is the intimate flowered and well-manicured grounds. You will literally feel like you are in a garden paradise! The staff have been putting out fruit for the birds and squirrels for 8 years now, so the wildlife that you can witness while enjoying breakfast (included in the price) is breathtaking. Over 90 species of birds have been sighted!
If you're coming to Boquete with some birding in mind, the Boquete Garden Inn should top your list.
Consistently an award winner every year (#1 B&B in Panama according to Trip Advisor in 2014), you can find more about Boquete Garden Inn and the special rates for our students here, or you can also visit their official website here...
Don't miss social hour every evening between 6 and 7.
CASA DE MONTAÑA
A brand new bed and breakfast in Boquete, Casa de Montaña is already quickly gaining popularity. And for good reason! It’s a super comfortable, friendly and independent B&B located just far enough out of town for relaxation, but still within walking distance. The American owners put their heart and soul into this hotel and it certainly shows in every special little touch.
Casa Montaña has quickly become one of the favorites hotels in Boquete among our Spanish students.
There are only 6 rooms, but each is well-designed and furnished with a queen bed (memory foam mattresses and pillows!), desk, mini-refrigerator, microwave, french press, hot water kettle, rain showers, ceiling and pedestal fans, dehumidifier, and dresser. Each room has high-speed wifi and cable television (large flat-screen TVs). Last but not least, every room has it’s own private balcony/terrace and two rooms on the first floor have separate private entrances, again for more independence.
Imagine waking up to this mountain view (or doing your Spanish homework by it).
Even though the rooms are superb, what might be even better are the lounging areas. There are SO many! The owners specifically wanted to create spaces where guests could invite friends over, relax outside of their rooms, be outside or inside, study, etc. They also have an evening social hour with all of the guests to get to know each other better and answer any questions they have about Boquete.
Fireplace and bar at Casa de Montaña
Of course, being a bed and breakfast, breakfast is included in the price (though it’s possible to not include it and receive a cheaper rate, if you prefer). Casa de Montaña doesn’t do just any boring breakfast. They have a rotating international menu so you get to try different varieties each day!

HOTEL CASA DE LA ABUELA
Hotel Casa de la Abuela is only a few years old and has created a cozy environment with comfortable and well-furnished rooms. Every room has cable television, flat screen TVs, wifi and private bathroom with hot water. The price also includes breakfast. The value that you receive for the price of these rooms is really good!
Bedroom at Casa de la Abuela
This hotel is just a 10 minute walk from Habla Ya Boquete and the downtown area. It’s enough away so that you can relax, but still close enough so that you don’t have to take public transportation.
We still haven't been able to create a profile for this hotel on our website so please contact us to learn about the special rates that Habla Ya Students receive! In the meantime feel free to visit their website here...

So hopefully this gives you a pretty good idea about what to expect if you're looking for a mid range hotel in Boquete. We also have our favorite budget hostels and upscale hotels if you're looking to splurge while studying Spanish. Needless to say, if you're up for it, the most effective way to learn Spanish is if you can compliment your Spanish course with a home stay with a local host family through our Spanish immersion program.
