Fun Nightly Activities in Boquete | Nightlife in Boquete, Panama

Ok, I’ll be completely honest. Boquete's nightlife will lose if compared to what goes down in Bocas del Toro... by far (just check out these videos about nightlife in Bocas del Toro)... BUT that doesn’t mean that we’re completely boring in Boquete!

Here are my favorite places to go for a fun evening out in Boquete:

Zanzibar

The only bar open year-round in Boquete in Zanzibar. This cool, chill, African-inspired bar is everyone’s go-to, for Panamanians and tourists alike.

At 10pm or 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays, the place gets packed as everyone shows up to enjoy themselves, meet new people, and dance. There’s always a good DJ ready to mix it up for the party. You can’t go wrong at Zanzibar!

Just keep in mind that the place is usually really slow until later at night, so don’t be discouraged if there is no one there at 8pm or 9pm.

Baru Restaurant and Bar and Mike’s Global Grill

If you are a sports fan, you will be set with Baru Restaurant and Bar and Mike’s Global Grill. All the big events are shown, even international sports.

Mike’s is a big hangout for many of the local expats. The restaurant/bar is located next to a stream, which provides for a relaxing background sound. But don’t let that fool you! The locals love to get crazy here, so if you’re looking for a good time or a good laugh, you’re bound to find it if you stop by on the weekend (live music, trivia contests, and all sorts of shenanigans).

La Posada Boqueteña Restaurant

If you want to get in some latin dancing while you’re in Boquete, stop by La Posada Boqueteña Restaurant on a Saturday night when they have live music. It’s sweet watching everyone dance, even children and elders! There isn’t much opportunity to dance with strangers (since everyone comes with their families for dinner), but invite your teacher or the Recepción staff and they would be happy to show you the steps!

Several weekends every month there is live music at La Posada Boqueteña that you can dance to

Refugio del Rio

If your goal is meeting people and partying, we highly recommend staying at a hostel. Refugio del Rio always has a fun group of people around at night, playing music/guitar, taking a dip in the hot tub, and doing group dinners.

If you want to meet people from all over the world in Boquete, make sure to stay at Refugio del Rio

Habla Ya's Evening Activities

And last but not least, Habla Ya’s evening activities are the best place to hang out with other students, practice your Spanish with the Habla Ya staff, and experience the culture of Panamá. We arrange Panamanian dinners at the school, restaurant dinners in Boquete, Spanish movie nights, party nights at local bars and Zumba classes.

Once a week, on Wednesdays generally, we organize a Panamanian Dinner for our students to sample Panama's traditional dishes
