If for any reason, you currently can't travel to Central or South America to learn Spanish, you can still have the same highly qualified, experienced, enthusiastic, native Spanish teacher right in your home or office. How? Over Skype or Google hangouts!

Over 3 years ago, students started to ask us if they could continue their Spanish course over Skype once they got back home. Other students, who could only come for a few weeks, were asking us if they could have some Spanish lessons over video-conference before coming down to our Spanish schools so that they could make the most out of their study time once they were here. And as we like to listen to what our students ask for, we started doing it!

So, after teaching Spanish online for several years, we'd like to celebrate by giving away 2 FREE PACKAGES 30 HOURS of online Spanish lessons over Skype! Each package is valued at $595. And yes, if you live in Panama this contest is also open to you!

All of our online Spanish teachers have university degrees related to languages, have years of classroom experience teaching Spanish, are native Spanish speakers, have undergone Habla Ya's signature teacher training course and have been certified by the Instituto Cervantes for online Spanish teaching.

To have a chance to win one of these packages you will have to:

• write an essay (minimum 750 words, with at lest 3 or 4 photos) OR
• make a video (minimum length 45 seconds)

About what?

• If you already traveled to Latin America to learn or improve your Spanish, your essay or video should be about your study trip, what was it like to learn Spanish abroad and how it has changed your life
• If you haven't traveled to Latin America, your essay or video should be about your efforts or plans to learn Spanish, why you'd like to travel to Panama for Spanish learning and how you think it would benefit your life

You can submit your entry to raffle@hablayapanama.com. Submissions must be in your own native language.

Each participant's name will go into a raffle and if your name is selected, you will be a WINNER. There will be 2 raffles: one for those who've already traveled to Latin America for Spanish learning purposes and one for those who haven't. In order for your entry to be valid, it has to be good enough to be published on this blog. Our blog's editors will judge any material submitted and decide if it meets our quality guidelines. Make sure to get it right as you will only have two opportunities to get approved. Approval can take up to 72 hours.

The raffle will take place on Tuesday September 3rd 2013. The sooner you submit your entry, the more chances you have to win:

• submit and get your entry approved by Sunday June 30th and your name will go 5 times into the raffle
• submit and get your entry approved by Sunday July 15th and your name will go 4 times into the raffle
• submit and get your entry approved by Sunday July 31st and your name will go 3 times into the raffle
• submit and get your entry approved by Sunday August 15th and your name will go 2 times into the raffle
• submit and get your entry approved before the raffle takes place and your name will go 1 time into the raffle

As an online Habla Ya student you will have access to the AVE, the Instituto Cervantes' online educational platform, which is a true guarantee in terms of quality Spanish learning.

Former and current Habla Ya students will have a slight advantage as their entries will be doubled. For example, if their name would have normally gone 5 times into the raffle it will go in 10 times instead.

It is widely known that the fastest and most effective way to learn Spanish is by totally immersing yourself in a Spanish speaking country. Joining an intensive Spanish course and living with a local host family gives you the opportunity to practice your Spanish 24x7 and is definitively the best way to go if you're serious about learning Spanish.
