Only Habla Ya Spanish Students are eligible for the special rates for extended stays that appear on this page when they make their reservation through us. These special rates are offered to our students due to the amount of traffic that we generate for these hotels. Most of our recommended lodging options are located within walking distance to the schools (1 - 15 minutes). If you prefer to be just out of town, in Boquete Boquete Garden Inn (5 minute taxi drive or 30 minute walk) and Casa Pedro Boquete (10 minute drive, 1 hour walk) are a great choice. In Bocas del Toro all option are within a short walking distance.

Family Home Stays (Boquete and Bocas del Toro)
The cost given is as PER WEEK of accommodation with a local family. Prices are shown in U.S. dollars. We normally place only one student with each local family (unless it's a couple or family traveling together). We do this to "force" you to speak Spanish.
The "number of students column" refers to arrangements for couples and families or friends traveling together who wish to be placed within the same local family. Children receive a special discount when they stay at a home stay with their parents:
- children 4 years old and under have a 50% discount
- children 5 - 12 years old have a 25% discount
- children 13 and above pay the full rate

Each family home stay has a $50 setup fee that includes pickup in David (either at the airport or bus station) or pickup at the docks in Bocas del Toro or at the airport, and transportation to the student's host family house in Boquete or Bocas del Toro, the processing of your Immersion Pre-Program Interview and the selection of your host family. If students arrive to David out of office hours (before 8 a.m. or after 5:30 p.m. then the pickup can be arranged for an additional $10. As boats and planes arrive to Bocas del Toro within office hours this additional fee does not apply. Students who are also going to volunteer, only need to pay one setup fee (the volunteering setup fee: $50 for students, $75 for non students). Laundry facilities can also be used for a $5 fee per load of cloths.

Directions to Casa Pedro Boquete: from the church in downtown Boquete, drive uphill and take a left at the Y intersection. Pass Café Ruiz and "Mi Jardín es tu Jardín" and continue to drive straight. When you reach "Los Naranjos Crossing" (bearing right), pass the small bridge and proceed up the hill. You will see the Casa Pedro sign on your left. Casa Pedro is about 3.5 km. (2 miles) from downtown Boquete and is well-served in both directions by frequent bus and inexpensive taxi service.

At 10 minute walk away from Habla Ya Spanish School, Hotelito del Mar is located on the corner of 1st Street and D Avenue just a block from the Central Park. From the airport follow the main street that leaves the airport (Avenida E) and take the first right on Sixth Street, walk one block south, and thena a left again once you have reached Avenida D.
