All of our Spanish courses are highly personalized but because of your personal interests and/or needs you might want a Spanish Course designed just for you. Our Group 4 course for example, won't focus on Business Spanish or Spanish for Construction, Tourism/Hospitatlity or Legal Spanish because if a group class was made of a biochemist, a firefighter, a math teacher and a fiction writer, focusing on any of the above wouldn't make sense for the rest (unless all of you were starting together a business venture in Latin America, of course!). This is why you can either add extra Private Spanish Lessons on top of your Group Lessons (what we call Group 4 PLUS) or simply sign up for Private Lessons.

An intensive Spanish course will help you advance faster than our normal courses

Our Intensive Spanish Course is designed for individuals who need to learn Spanish fast, aquire a specific language skill in a limited timeframe or master a particular topic in Spanish and simply cannot afford to be held back for any reason.

If your time to study Spanish is limited and you are highly motivated to advance as quickly as possible, you can choose from any of the following two options: you can have six hours of 1 to 1 Private Spanish Lessons per day, or you can join our Group 4 PLUS Course which adds two hours of private lessons per day to our standard course of four hours of group lessons per day.

Depending on your circumstances, you might also consider living with a local host family during your Spanish studies to experience a real Latin Cultural & Total Spanish Immersion in Panama. Medical Spanish Classes in Latin America - Spanish for Health Professionals

A medical Spanish course for health professionals

This Medical Spanish Course is designed for doctors, medical students, physicians, nurses, hospital managers, health care professionals and practitioners in general who need to use Medical Spanish in their workplace to directly communicate with Spanish speaking patients and/or colleagues.

Many health professionals from the U.S.A. and Canada have decided to join our Medical Spanish Classes due to the growth of the Latino population in their home countries and want to be able to provide the best service possible.

Health care professionals will learn how to establish and confirm medical appointments and to receive a patient and take his admission data in Spanish. You will also be capable of interviewing a patient in Spanish, asking him about his situation to detect symptoms of possible diseases. You will practice taking notes of an interview with a patient and understand his medical history in Spanish. You will learn to explain diagnosis, treatments and procedures.

Health professionals who interact with Spanish speakers are more capable to do their job if they know Spanish

We can also prepare your Medical Spanish Classes to cover specialized vocabulary or terminology related to a specific specialty. In the past we have prepared Medical Spanish Courses for Gynecologists, Orthopedists, Pediatricians, Onchologists, Nurses & Hospital Managers. Ethical topics and current health care policies can also be discussed or debated. Hospital visits to the Social Security hospital in Boquete, Panama can be arranged and we can also put you in contact with doctors in the public or private medical sector looking for volunteers and/or assistants.

Medical Spanish Classes are intended for students who have at least reached an Intermediate Spanish Level (B1, Conversational I, according to our level system). Besides signing up exclusively for One to One Spanish Lessons, many students who wish to learn Medical Spanish, join our Group 4 PLUS Course. In this way they have four hours of standard group lessons per day in which they work on their general Spanish skills and then they have an additional one or two hours of One to One Spanish Private Lessons each day in which they focus on their Medical Spanish. Mini Groups - Spanish for Couples or Small Groups of Friends

A mini group is the perfect option for couples who prefer to have a teacher for themselves

If you and your partner or a small group of friends want to sign up for the same Spanish course and for any reason feel the need to have more privacy and would feel more comfortable if your class size was limited to your own private party, then this option is for you.

Mini-Groups are also intended for couples or groups of friends who want to be together in the same class and desire a special schedule different from those of our Group 4 Course or our Part Time Course for New Residents: less than four hours of lessons per day or classes for a different amount of days per week than the usual three or five: there's simply more flexibility! Minigroups can also have up to three students in the same group.

This option only works if all of the students have the same Spanish level and similar interests and/or needs. If not, you might be better off with Private Spanish Lessons.

This options exists to allow you to sign up for any course with your couple or friends (no more than 3 in total) so that you can limit the size of your group to the two or three of you. Four students can also sign up for Mini-Group Lessons together if they want to have less than four hours of group lessons per day or if they need/want to have less than five days of classes per week. Spanish Courses for Children

Through our Junior Spanish Program we offer Spanish lessons to children from all over the world

Children are special students and must also be taught in a special way. For this reason, children have a very special place in our school and we take into careful consideration how we give them classes. We make sure their classes are dynamic, to keep them interested in learning a new language, and at the same time educational, to make sure that they really get the most out of each hour of class.

Many of our Spanish teachers have plenty of experience in our Spanish for Kids Program

We know that you want them to have a head start in life by giving them the opportunity to speak Spanish. We will not only fulfill each parent's expectations but we will also bring out the best of each child: your treasure becomes our treasure each time he or she comes into the clasroom.

Habla Ya is made up of a team of teachers qualified for doing just this. Several of our teachers have plenty of experience teaching children. Besides Spanish lessons, our teachers will play games with them that will also help them with their language skills, like bingo and monopoly. Kids can get bored inside a classroom so our teachers also take them to local gardens like El Explorador, Mi Jardín es tu Jardín and Paradise Gardens. These teachers are specialists at making the learning environment a pleasant one in which each Many families come to Boquete for a family vacation and to learn Spanish together student can feel comfortable and develop their capacity to the maximum. Other than this, we have extracurricular activities such as strolls around town, where students can put into practice what they have learnt in class.

We also help families plan their Family Language Vacation Program so that both parents and children can have Spanish lessons at our Spanish school. We will help your family make the most out of your stay in Boquete helping you organize and plan what to do during the weekends and after classes.

Spanish Lessons for Teenagers

Spanish for Teens, your teenager can live with a local host family besides enrolling in Spanish Lessons

Today's teenagers demand a high dose of entertainment in order to be happy. Boquete, Panama's Eco-Adventure Capital, is the ideal place to keep teenagers busy allowing them to learn Spanish and have a one in a lifetime vacation.

Students from 13 - 17 years of age can come to our peacful town and live with a responsible and caring local host family that will take them in their home as their own son or daughter.

In our Spanish courses for Teenagers students get to make friends from all over the world

Besides having daily Spanish lessons students will have the opportunity to interact with the local culture, make Spanish speaking friends, gain a better understanding of an environment different from their own, achieve more independence and responsibility, have a higher appreciation of what they have back home, participate in many social and cultural activities, take part in Boquete's Eco-Adventure Tours, volunteer in one of Boquete's many NGO's and so much more. Teens that take part in this Spanish Exchange Program rarely are in a hurry go to back home.

Group of teenagers come during their summer vacations for an exchange program to learn Spanish in Panama

During summer holidays (June and July) teens can take part in our Group 4 Spanish Course with other teens (4 hours of group lessons per day) and during other times of the year, teens can either have MiniGroup Lessons (if they come with a sibling or a friend) or Private Lessons if they come on their own. It all depends on their Spanish level and on the Spanish levels of other teens that we might have at our school.

Parents continually get their minds blown away when they realize how much their teeanger learned in just three or four weeks (even more than what they've learnt in several years back home). If you would like your teen to become completly fluent in Spanish, you should allow two or three months depending on his/her current Spanish level.

Many parents decide to start their family's summer holiday by joining our Family Language Vacation Program. After a week or two, once they feel more comfortable with the idea of leaving their teenagers with us, they go back to work or simply take advantage of the situation and go around exploring our amazing country as a couple and/or with other friends.

Spanish Courses at your Home, Office or Hotel

We can send a Spanish teacher to your home, office or hotel

If you live in Boquete or in David, and if for any reason, it's sometimes hard to leave your home or office, we can send a teacher right to your door, perfectly prepared and equipped with all the tools to teach a class in the exact same way that we do at our school. On the other hand, if you are staying at a hotel and just love the place, we can also teach you Spanish right there. These classes can be private lessons or in groups (for families or friends traveling together). The organization of these groups will depend on the Spanish levels of the students involved.

Course Rates for Personalized Spanish Courses (2010)

Depending on your needs and circumstances, you might sign up for Private Lessons or for Mini Group Lessons and for this reason prices are shown for these two type of classes.

The only exception is if you are adding private lessons to our Group 4 course to either have a more Intensive Spanish Course or to study a topic of your specific interest, e.g. Medical Spanish. In this case just look up the rates for our Group 4 PLUS course.

Please note that there is no separate registration fee for our Spanish courses. Rates include: registration, level test, class materials and handouts, wifi internet connection at the school, certain cultural & social activities, all the coffees you can drink and access to all of the school's facilities. A textbook for your level is included when you sign up for at least 40 hours of lessons, and a course certificate is included when you sign up for at least 60 hours of lessons. Any of our six textbooks (for our six levels) can also be purchased for $10.

When considering how many of hours to sign up for, take into account that each of our first three levels can be completed in an average of 60 hours of lessons each, our fourth and fifth in 100 hours each, and our sixth level in an average of 400 hours more (to be just like a native). When you join a Total Immersion Program you usually complete each level 10 to 25% faster. We will always make a professional suggestion based on your Spanish level, on how far you want to advance and on how fast you want to get there.
