We still believe that an investment in learning Spanish is a must for anybody who relocates here and that this single decision will take your new life in Panama to the next level (we Panamanians are adorable, aren’t we?)… and we firmly believe that a 120 hour Part Time Spanish Course for New Expat Residents is more valuable then a 48″ Plasma TV (and they cost almost the same)… BUT lets say that over the years the itch that we have for everybody that lives in Boquete to learn Spanish has gotten more intense… so we’ve decided to do something about it…

Our normal prices go from $7 to $12.50 per hour for group lessons (up to 4 in a classroom), $9.83 to $12.50 per hour for mini group lessons (classroom restricted to two students) and from $12.50 to $15 per hour for private lessons (1 on 1), so the discounts are of that. The price per hour depends on the amount of hours you book… the more hours you sign up for, the better rate you get.
During March and April of 2009, if you are able to prove your “Boquete Citizenship” you will have access to the following discounts:
- 10% off if you sign up for Spanish classes by yourself
- 20% off if you sign up for Spanish lessons with your partner/wife/friend/lover/whatever
- 25% off if three people sign up together
- 30% off if four people sign up together
So no more excuses about Spanish lessons not being cheap! With our without discounts you will always recieve the best value at Habla Ya, in other words, for each dollar you invest you get a lot more at Habla Ya than at any other Spanish School in Panama (and I don’t think you’ll see discounts like these again at Habla Ya) and yes, we are fanatics about teaching/learning Spanish, but we’re also Panama’s premier Spanish School, so if you want to learn Spanish, Habla Ya is your best choice.
If you sign up with somebody, you don’t have to be in the same level to have access to this promotion. You only have to sign up for the same amount of hours and for the same type of course, be it our Group 4 Spanish Course, Private Spanish Lessons, a Part Time Spanish Course for New Expat Residents, or any Personalized Spanish Course.
How can you prove your "Boquete Citizenship"?
- Maybe you already studied at our school, so we know you live here… just show up.
- Maybe we’ve seen you at Amigos or Café Guari Guari… or somewhere in town.
- If you don’t think you’ve met someone from Habla Ya, then think about a way to prove to us that you live here. It could be with a utility bill, it could be with photo of yourself opening the door to your home in Boquete (maybe it’s a house in Valle Escondido, how couldn’t we recognize it)… be creative if you want to… all that matters is that you convince us that you are a Boquete Citizen.
The only “special conditions” are:
- These discounts are against our 2009 normal rates only (packages of group, private or mini group lessons).
- You have to use the hours that you purchase before the end of May 2009. If you don’t use your hours before May 31st 2009, then we will do some complicated math to calculate how much credit you will have left from June onwards, based on our normal prices.
- No refunds.
- No reselling allowed, nor can you pass your hours to someone else!
- discounts only for lessons… if you live here and decide to participate in a true Immersion by living with a local host family from Boquete, you will have to pay the normal fee to live with them ($16 per day per person, 2 meals included)
So, what do you need to do to have access to this promotion to Learn Spanish in Panama?
- prove that you are a Boquete citizen

To make it worth (high ROI) and to become a real "Boquete Citizen" then you will have to:
- show up for all of your lessons
- study everyday
- practice
- practice everyday and study a bit more
- and once you’ve finished your Spanish course, keep practicing!
And after these last 5 steps, you should be speaking Spanish…
