Hotelito del Mar
Centrally Located, Fairly Priced
If you'd like to stay in the center of town and you're looking for a mid-range option, Hotelito del Mar is your best choice. You'll be just a minute's walk from numerous restaurants, bars, shops and tour operators, and just a stone throw away from sea front property and public docks where you can catch a boat to visit neighboring islands and beaches.
Even though Hotelito del Mar is just around the corner from the clubs where Bocas del Toror's nightlife happens, its solid edification provides its guest with superb sound insulation. Taking into account that most of Bocas del Toro's hotels within town are wooden buildings, you can't go wrong with Hotelito del Mar.
Spacious Bedrooms, Flexible Configurations
Hotelito del Mar has 5 bedrooms on the ground floor and 2 bedrooms on the upper floor. The bedrooms on the top floor are the largest, have two double beds each and can normally accommodate up to four persons in each room. Besides the two double beds, there is also a sofa-bed in each room, that if needed, can accommodate another 2 persons. The upper floor bedrooms also have their own private balcony. Two of the downstairs' bedrooms have 2 double beds and 1 single bed in each room. Another two of the downstair's bedrooms have 1 double bed each and the last of the downstair's bedrooms has 3 single beds. The management is flexible and can add an additional small folding bed to any of the bedrooms.
All of the bedrooms are ample, crisp and always clean. In each bedroom you will have cable TV, air-conditioning and a private bathroom with a hot shower. On the ground floor there is a spacious corridor with wooden chairs for outdoor reading or just drinking a cup of coffee. Upstairs there is a common living room and balcony area where you can enjoy the sea's breeze or just do some people watching in Bocas del Toro. The staff of Hotelito del Mar is on the ground floor and are always willing to help in any way they can and make sure you have a pleasant stay in Bocas del Toro.

Hotelito del Mar is amongst our preferred midrange lodging options in Bocas del Toro because it provides a great setting for visitors wanting to experience life in downtown Bocas del Toro but still be able to rest within the quiet and comfort of their hotel room. Besides being very close to some of Bocas del Toro's best restaurants and clubs, you can also easily grab a boat on the dock opposite to Hotelito del Mar and go on a boat tour to the neighboring islands or just catch some waves on the world class surfing break on Carenero, only a 5 minute boat ride away.

At 15 minute walk away from Habla Ya Spanish School, Hotelito del Mar is located on the corner of 1st Street and D Avenue just a block from the Central Park. From the airport follow the main street that leaves the airport (Avenida E) and take the first right on Sixth Street, walk one block south, and then a left again once you have reached Avenida D. Four more blocks and you will have reached 1st, where you take a left and you'll find Hotelito del Mar right in front of you. If you arrive by boat to Bocas del Toro on First Street, walk up north until you reach Avenida D, and you will have reached Hotelito del Mar. If you arrive by boat on Third Street, just walk up North until you can take a right onto First Street and one block ahead you will have reached Hotelito del Mar.

Conveniently situated just a block away from Habla Ya Bocas del Toro Spanish School - all in all only a 40 second walk, YES we've counted! - this apart-hotel is certainly one of the most requested lodging options amongst our Spanish students. With a total of 14 one and two bedroom fully furnished and air conditioned suites, El Monte Carlo offers you a home away from home. Besides being able to enjoy the comfort and privacy of having your own apartment, you can't beat the convenience of being right around the corner from Habla Ya, in a tranquil setting just out of town but still within a 5 minute walk to other local businesses, restaurants and shops in Bocas del Toro.
Different Options for Different Needs
It is ideal if you are looking for all the amenities that a fully furnished vacation apartment can offer such as a well equipped kitchen to cook your own meals and ample dining and living room areas. The Monte Carlo's one bedroom studios work perfectly well if you're a couple or on your own, and also has larger suites with 2 bedrooms for friends traveling together and even families with children, especially because of the Monte Carlo's large private swimming pool that will definitively keep your kids entertained (even though you'll only be a 5 minute walk from the beach as well). Its 8 Senior Suites are located on the upper floors and have 2 bedrooms. Depending on the suite the bedrooms are configured with one queen bed, one double bed or three single beds. The Senior Suites can accommodate up to 7 persons in total. The 4 Standard Suites are on the middle floor and can have one queen bed, a double bed and a single bed can also be added. With the sofa bed in the living room area, the Standard Suites can accommodate up to 5 persons in total. Both the Senior and Standard Suites have their own spacious private balconies, which depending on their orientation have views overlooking Bocas' town, the swimming pool area and even the Caribbean Sea. On the ground floor, there are also 2 Junior Suites, each with an open plan space with the bed, either a queen double bed or two singles, and the rest of the living area. The Junior Suites also have a sofa bed in the living room area and can accommodate up to 4 persons.
Fully Furnished & Equipped
All of Monte Carlo's suites have private bathrooms with hot water, a living room area with a sofa-bed and Cable TV, a dining table with 4 chairs and breakfast area, an in-room safety box, fully equipped kitchens with a small refrigerator (not just a mini-fridge), gas-stove, a small oven, microwave, toaster, coffee-maker, cooking utensils, glasses, plates and cutlery. As a guest at the Monte Carlo you will also have access to wifi internet, you won't have to worry about any utilities being paid (internet, electricity and gas are included in the rates) and full use of the private pool outdoors.

At 40 second walk away from Habla Ya Spanish School, Monte Carlo is located on the corner of Avenida H with 9th Street, just a block from us. From the airport follow the main street that leaves the airport (Avenida E) and take the first left on Sixth Street, walk two blocks north, and then take another left again once you have reached Avenida G. Three more blocks and you will have reached 9th, where you take a right and you'll find Monte Carlo at the end of the block to your right. If you arrive by boat to Bocas del Toro on First Street, walk up north until you reach Avenida F, then take a left and walk two blocks until Third Street. Take a right and continue on Third Street which merges into Avenida G and walk 6 blocks more until you reach 9th Street, and then just as above. If you arrive by boat on Third Street, just walk up North until it merges into Avenida G and walk 6 blocks more until you reach 9th Street, and then just as above.

Four of the double rooms have queen sized beds and one of the double rooms has two twin beds. The two quadruple rooms have four single beds each, one of which has a bunk bed. The Suite has two rooms, one with a queen sized bed and the other room with two single beds, a living room with kitchenette and private balcony of 30 square meters and a watch tower.
Functional comfort is the catch phrase for the rooms here. All of the rooms at Hotel Cala Luna have their own private bathroom with hot water, air conditioning, fans, a safe box, refrigerator, Cable TV and a small balcony. Each bed has thick, quality mattresses and crisp-clean sheets. There is a mid level patio area shared amongst guests with chairs and hammocks where you can kick off your sandals and just relax... or take in the fresh breeze before tackling your Spanish homework. At 10 minute walk away from Habla Ya Spanish School, Hotel Cala Luna is located on 5th Street between Avenida E and Avenida F. From the airport follow the main street that leaves the airport (Avenida E) and take the second left on 5th Street, walk half a block north and Hotel Cala Luna will be to your right. If you arrive by boat to Bocas del Toro on First Street, walk up north until you reach Avenida E, then take a left, walk 4 blocks to the west, then take a right on 5th Street, up north half a block and Hotel Cala Luna will be to your right. If you arrive by boat on Third Street, just walk up north until you can take a left onto Avenida E and follow instructions as above.
